On-Site Digital Embroidery at the Donor Experience Summit with Fundraise Up

Four Hands Embroidery was thrilled to partner with Fundraise Up to provide on-site digital embroidery at the Donor Experience Summit (DXS), a semiannual gathering for nonprofit leaders focused on connection, innovation, and intentional design. The summit blends data-driven insights, hands-on workshops, and meaningful networking opportunities, all with one guiding principle in mind: making every experience feel personal.
From the very first moment, the Donor Experience Summit set the tone for an inspiring week ahead. The kickoff celebration took place at Soho House Dumbo, where guests were welcomed to the rooftop terrace overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. With incredible skyline views, cocktails, and substantial bites, the evening felt unmistakably New York. Against this backdrop, Four Hands Embroidery brought live onsite embroidery to the welcome party, transforming the night into a true brand activation rooted in creativity and customization.
Each attendee received a baseball cap embroidered in advance with the official DXS logo by our team. During the event, guests were invited to further customize their caps with embroidered monograms and custom designs, creating one-of-a-kind keepsakes they could take home. This blend of pre-production and live personalization allowed for a seamless guest experience while still preserving the magic of watching something personal come to life in real time.
Live embroidery has a way of slowing people down. It invites conversation, sparks curiosity, and creates moments of connection between strangers. Throughout the evening, attendees gathered around our machines, choosing thread colors, chatting with fellow nonprofit leaders, and sharing ideas as their pieces were stitched. The result was not just custom merchandise, but a shared experience that felt thoughtful, tactile, and uniquely human.
