ABOUT FOUR HANDS EMBROIDERY

In 2014, Natalie and Amy, the creative masterminds behind Four Hands Embroidery, crossed paths while studying for their BFA's in a video sculpture class at SVA. Bonding over their shared interests in primary colors and cults, their connection grew stronger when they joined forces at Opening Ceremony.

At Opening Ceremony, they unleashed their artistic autonomy, crafting designs for a diverse clientele that ranged from tourists to high-profile customers. This collaborative experience empowered them to introduce fresh ideas and events, deepening their knowledge of various artistic processes and art history.

While Natalie's expertise lies in textiles and digital embroidery, Amy's artistic prowess shines through performances and videos. Surprisingly, their distinct practices revealed a harmony of inception points and inspirations, fostering a robust creative partnership.

Following the closure of Opening Ceremony in 2020, Natalie and Amy seized the opportunity to establish their embroidery services in their beloved Brooklyn studio. Armed with a single machine, two brilliant minds, three years of experience, and, of course, four hands, they deliver designs that are truly one-of-a-kind, reflecting their unique backgrounds and expertise.

With their combined talents, Natalie and Amy at Four Hands Embroidery are poised to make a lasting impact in the world of embroidery, infusing their creations with passion, creativity, and a touch of magic.
