Each of their fragrances is a rich narrative that embodies everything they love in music, art, nature, and design, told aromatically. Abbie De Casto, who started Smalls Studio to encourage people to find joy in making items with their own hands, has a background in design that began in Southern California working for Oakley designing ski/snowboard apparel for sponsored athletes. After moving to New York in 2006, she worked in denim design for various brands, which eventually led to a love for home dyeing with a variety of different dyes in every color of the rainbow. She started hosting tie dye workshops for friends and later at larger venues to tap into people's creativity and bring home something unique. Currently, her studio in Brooklyn is a hub for developing new ideas with dye, reworking old garments, and collaborating with brands big and small to create unique additions to their seasonal collections.
